The Importance Of Communication And Group Dynamics

Health care organizations are no different from other organizations on how they communicate and their group dynamics. Therefore having such understanding it is important to know which are the best ways of communication and how successful teams or groups can be successful. When there is a break down in communication then goals and objectives of the organizations will not be easily met and problems will arise because of this. In the same way if a group is not well directed then its goals will also not be met. Therefore it is important to understand the importance of communication and group dynamics in order to have an effective organization. This paper will strive to demonstrate the importance of communication in any group setting despite of its dynamics. According to the scenario the group had met on three other previous occasions and were yet to come up with a solution regarding the problem concerning one of their patient. This particular group is comprised of individuals who have different personalities and as stated despite having met on other previous times the problem persisted. Three events which occur and help demonstrate the reason why the meeting was ineffective include the lack of leadership skills from the boss who was the team leader. Being the team leader he should have been the first person to speak and not John. As a leader he should have taken charge of the meeting by speaking first where he should have provided the agenda for the meeting.
